Urban Waves Records and its sibling imprint Radio Juicy are operated by the same company, based in Brussels, Belgium. This page explains what information we hold, the cookies the site uses, and the rights you have over your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Cookies & local storage
We use only strictly necessary and functional storage — the things that make signing in, your basket, the music player and checkout work. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies. Because none of the storage below is used to track you, no cookie-consent banner is required and you don't need to opt in for the site to work. If we ever add analytics, we'll ask for your consent first.

Information we collect
- Account — your name, email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
- Orders — the releases you buy, the billing and shipping details you give for physical orders, and your order history, processed through our WooCommerce store.
- Payments — handled by PayPal. We never see or store your card details; PayPal returns only a transaction reference.
- Messages — anything you send us through the demo form, the newsletter signup, or our contact addresses.
Who processes your data
- PayPal — payment processing at checkout.
- Resend — sends our transactional email (order confirmations, password resets, address verification).
- Early Grooves — our newsletter provider, if you choose to subscribe.
- OVH — hosts the website and store on servers in the EU.
Each acts as a processor under our instructions, or as an independent controller for the service you asked for (for example, PayPal for your payment). We do not sell your data to anyone.
Analytics
We keep simple, privacy-friendly visitor statistics — page views, roughly how many unique visitors, popular releases and where visits come from — so we can improve the site. It is fully first-party and stays on our own server. There are no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and we do not store your IP address: a visitor is counted with a one-way daily code that can't be traced back to you or linked across days. That's why the site needs no cookie-consent banner.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and order history for as long as your account is active, and keep order and accounting records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. You can ask us to close your account and erase your data at any time, subject to those legal retention duties.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these, just email us and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
